2017

The idea of the SKIANA® Project borns due to the need for the direct involvement of the Expert in Dermatology in generating valuable solutions for the medical professional and for the general population, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by technological development, especially Artificial Intelligence.

2018

First funds are obtained for the development of the first dermatological algorithm of the SKIANA® project after winning a competitive grant at the national level, ACTTiVAte project, included in the framework of projects funded by the European Union (Horizon 2020 EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation).

2019

The SKIANA® project gets a CDTI grant as a collaborating company for the development of a project to evaluate cosmetic products aimed at psoriasis care. The final jump occurs when entering the Microsoft Scale Up Startup plan.

2020

The SKIANA® project receives funding from European Commission competitive international grants (European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program; Grant agreement nº 885806 (SME Instrument)

2021

The SKIANA® project moves to PHASE II of the Microsoft Scale Up Startup plan program.

Our mission

To change the status quo by improving the self-care of the population in a world punished by ideals of skin health based on technological filters and by the effects of globalization.
To lead, as experts in Dermatology, the development of dermatological imaging algorithms focused on helping the Health professional in their daily practice.

Our values

We are a multidisciplinary group expert in Medicine, E-Health, Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.
We generate our own new algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence focused on health and well-being.
The content is led and validated by experts in Medicine, Wellness and Cosmetics.
We define personalized recommendations for user´s needs.
The project has been built on the basis of an intelligent cloud, with the aim of guaranteeing global scalability.

The SKIANA® project is composed by:

The leadership of specialists in Dermatology with experience in image analysis, who led the development of algorithms aimed at generating extra information to other doctors and interested patients.
An International Committee of experts in Dermatology and other health areas, in order to generate additional algorithms that facilitate the life of the professional and the end user.
A team of expert engineers in Artificial Intelligence specialized in medical image processing, who will support Health experts to create valuable products.
